Heating Parts Protection Plan

Reliable Heating and Cooling is happy to offer a full service heating plan which includes full coverage on parts and labor when a problem arises with your furnace as well as a yearly maintenance all at a cost of $229 + HST.

What is covered under the plan?

  • Yearly maintenance and inspection
  • Ventor and blower motors
  • Ignition systems including hot surface ignitors, flame sensors, ignition modules, and pilots
  • Electronics, relays, switches or safety switches standard to the model of furnace
  • Thermostats - standard and digital or programmable (we can not guarantee that we will replace the thermostat with the same model but a thermostat of equivalent value will be used)
  • Condensate pumps if integral to the operation of the furnace but not including sump pumps or water pumps not involved directly in the install and use of the furnace

In the event that a replacement part can not be found and there are no alternative measures that will repair the furnace Reliable Heating and Cooling will no longer cover the furnace repairs as the only recourse is replacement. A $200 credit will be given if a replacement furnace is purchased through Reliable Heating and Cooling.


What is not covered under the plan?

  • External influences including but not limited to floods, lightning strikes, power surges (either power company caused or household faults)
  • Blocked filters, turned off emergency switches, turned off thermostats, tripped or faulty breakers/fuses
  • Heat exchangers (cracked heat exchangers will be quoted a cost for replacement if available)
  • Blockages in venting
  • Problems caused by environmental changes (such as new windows/doors) in the home due to renovations or changes to the interior appliances

If a service call results from any issue not covered by the insurance plan it will be the customer’s decision whether or not to repair. If no repairs are needed, a $40 non-intentional call out will be charged in lieu of the normal charges.
